About the Event

The Christmas Bazaar and Tea takes place on Saturday, November 17th, from 11:00am-3:00pm in the Parish Hall. Proceeds will be used to support purchase of the new Catholic Book of Worship IV Hymn Books for the parish. During the Bazaar, parishioners and the wider community will have the opportunity to:

  • Gather together and relax over tea and scrumptious treats
  • Buy mouth-watering baked goods, preserves and other kitchen delights
  • Purchase handmade crafts, shop for stocking stuffers and other unique gifts
  • Bid on a wide selection of goods and services offered in a Silent Auction
  • Take part in family fun activities and enjoy live music by the Cheung Family Ensemble

Ways you can help!

Donate Baking & Preserves: Donations of homemade preserves and baked goods will be needed for our Bake Sale tables. Packaging by the dozen/half-dozen will be very much appreciated for smaller treats. We will also need volunteers to help price, set up, and sell the goods. If you would like to help with these tables, contact Dolly Moyse at: 613-221-9178

Donate Handcrafts: We are calling on all crafters and artists to donate handcrafted items! We appreciate if you would also recommend a selling price for your donations. Donate New Gift Items: We are asking for donations of brand new items suitable for gift giving. Donation ideas include kitchen items (tea towels, mugs, china, teapots, gadgets), non-perishable fine foods (specialty teas/coffees, candies, cookies, chocolates, wine), pet-themed gifts (bedding, treats, toys), spa-themed gifts (soaps, lotions, pumice stones, face masks, creams), child-themed gifts (toys, books, games), religious items (rosaries, books), and Christmas-themed items (ornaments, decor, tablecloths, serving dishes, etc). Donate to the Silent Auction: We are looking for donations of goods and services for the Silent Auction. Donation ideas include gift cards, event tickets, gift baskets, a special talent/skill, artwork, etc. For questions about the auction or to help out with organizing auction items, please contact Anna Robotham, 613-225-8523 or annaontheisland@hotmail.com

The Tea: Volunteers are needed for set-up/clean-up, hosting, and waiting on tables/tea service. In addition, donations of sandwiches/sweets are needed. For more information or to help with the tea, please contact Cathy Edwards at: 613-729-4071 or cmal13@me.com. 

Decorating and Hospitality: If you have a flare for decorating, help us create a welcoming space starting on Tuesday, November 13th. Volunteers are needed to monitor parking, direct guests to the Bazaar entrance, and welcome our guests on Bazaar day.
