COMMUNITY BUILDING, SOCIAL & OUTREACH MINISTRIES
COMMON GOOD
Volunteering in one of our Community Building, Social or Outreach ministries will give you a sense of belonging. Come and help us create ripples of good in our community that will have lasting effects for years.

REFUGE
Refuge is our monthly night of Eucharistic Adoration and reflection. It takes place every third Friday of the month from 7:00-8:30pm. The evening includes worship music led by parishioner Joe Cousineau and the Refuge band, a beautiful time of prayer, an opportunity to go to confession, and a talk or witness given by an inspiring individual. For more information, contact Joe Cousineau at joe_cousineau@yahoo.ca.

Children's Ministry
Children are invited to join Fr. Frank in the procession each Sunday at 10:30am mass. From there, they are led to the parish hall where they get to participate in the Children's Liturgy program. Children will learn about the lessons of the gospel with their peers in a way that is easy for them to understand, and there are often art activities as well. Please note that Children's Liturgy takes a break over the summer months. For more information, please contact Denis Therrien at 613-228-7646.

ALPHA
Alpha is an opportunity for people to explore the Christian faith. Guests appreciate the opportunity to ask their questions in a safe environment, where no question is considered too simple or too hostile. At St. Augustine, Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore questions about purpose, eternity and love. Each session is held in an informal setting with food, a talk and open discussion. For information on our ALPHA sessions, please contact Joe Murphy at 613-297-5383 or josephcharlesmurphy@gmail.com.

Bible Study
If you already have a good understanding of Christ’s life and teachings, this volunteer work should be an inspiring journey. It prepares you to know how to explain to others our purpose in life and what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. Volunteers in this group assist with bible study, faith sharing and other formation programs. If you wish to become part of this ministry or would like more information please contact Pari and Nayla Lampsos at 613-226-6051.

This unique "band of brothers" supports each other to live out the Catholic faith more fully and works to accomplish things together they could not accomplish alone. Movie Nights Hospitality Team
Simple can be fun. Not every event has to be a feat to plan and execute. While there are times and places for large scale productions, sometimes a relaxing evening can be just the thing people need to unwind. Offered as an outreach to our seniors, movie nights have a fun atmosphere of fellowship! Held the first Friday of each month; volunteers assist the coordinator each month to set up and assist with a light food service and/or snacks. If you wish to become part of this ministry or would like more information please contact Barbara Miles at 613-224-3412 or barbara.miles@rogers.com.
