MEET OUR CLERGY & STAFF
Our clergy and staff are backbone of the parish, guiding us along the path of God.
Father Francis Scott
A native Ottawan, I was born in 1953 as Francis Patrick and baptized at St. Patrick Fallowfield. My early schooling was spent at St. Michael Corkery and Almonte High, later studying Business Administration at Algonquin with a major in Accounting. I started my working life with the Federal Government but got a calling for the priesthood. I started my studies in 1978 at St. Paul University ordained in 1984, upon the completion of my studies.
My first parish was our own St. Augustine, starting in summer of 1984 for four years. After that I served at many parishes in the greater Ottawa area. I was pastor at St. Isidore for six years, Stittsville's Holy Spirit Parish as the “spiritual builder” for another six years. My Silver Jubilee in June 2009 was celebrated at nearby St. John the Apostle during the last of my nine years there. St. Martin de Porres Parish in Bells Corners was my parish just before returning to St. Augustine. It was mid-summer of 2015 that I made a comeback to St. Augustine. Over 35 years of experience has given me many fond memories and I’ve grown to appreciate the deep importance and call for priesthood.
